Fish do not get any fresher than this. They catch them in the lake. Clean them. Cook them. We eat them. Fresh, simple, delicious.

As the name implies, this restaurant specializes in Sabalo, a tasty fish, but full of dangerous Y-shaped bones. When the cooks offer a choice, the average tourist will feel more comfortable eating either Palometa, or Gamitana, both delicious and safer to eat because of the bone structure.

Our sabalo meal with platano or tacacho, a heart of palm and avocado salad, and Inca Cola cost $5.50 apiece.
